Lulu

The mechanic

Lulu's ultimate makes an ally grow, knocks up the enemies around them for one second and gives them 275 to 575 bonus health for seven seconds. Her W gives an ally 25% movement speed for up to four seconds. Both are wasted on an ally who backs off.

Why it needs saying

Every one of Lulu's spells lands on someone else: the ally plays them, not her. Without a word, they receive an engage ultimate and use it to run away.

When you play them

  1. team chat

    what you type

    ulting you go in

    in full english

    I'm ulting you, go in.

    the context

The ultimate knocks up the enemies around the ally for one second and gives them hundreds of health for seven seconds. It is an order to engage, not a heal: an ally who backs off with the ultimate on them has wasted it.

  2. team chat

    what you type

    speed on you go

    in full english

    Speed's on you, go.

    the context

"speed" is Lulu's W on an ally, 25% movement speed for at most four seconds. The window is short: it is for catching a target or leaving a bad fight, and the ally has to know which of the two.

When an ally plays them

  1. team chat

    what you type

    lulu ult me i engage

    in full english

Lulu, ult me and I'll engage.

    the context

The request from the ally's side sets the plan: whoever gets the ultimate is the one who goes in first. Lulu has 900 units of range and can cast it from far away, provided she knows on whom.

When an enemy plays them

  1. team chat

    what you type

    dont hit lulu ult target

    in full english

Don't fight the target Lulu ulted.

    the context

A Lulu ally under her ultimate has hundreds of extra health and just knocked you up. Back off for seven seconds, or switch targets: Lulu herself is fragile.
