what you want to say

Deny him farm, he's behind.

what you type

deny him he is behind

the context

Pressing an advantage by preventing the enemy from farming.

What it actually means

"deny" means to deprive. An opponent who is behind stays behind if you keep him off the farm: zoning him is worth more than a risky kill. "behind" is the opposite of "ahead".
