The mechanic
Yorick summons a maiden that pushes a lane by herself, which makes him the best split pusher in the game as long as his team occupies everyone else.
Why it needs saying
Split pushing is only a strategy if the other four play along. Without an explicit call they take a fight, and the game is gone.

"Hold" means keep a position without engaging. The line gives both halves of the plan: what you are doing and what the others must do. Without the second half, your team gets caught four versus five.
