The mechanic
Nasus permanently increases his Q damage every time he lands a killing blow. His entire game is stacking that ability.
Why it needs saying
An ally pushing his wave costs him the game, and an enemy letting him farm loses theirs. Two lines prevent both.

Announcing your own weakness is a tactical call, not an apology. It stops your team counting on a fight you cannot carry yet.

the context
"Free farm" means farming with no pressure on him. Against Nasus that is a losing condition, and it is worth a gank even when his lane looks fine.
