The mechanic
Yasuo's ultimate can only be cast on an enemy who is airborne within 1400 units. Knock-ups, knock-backs and pulls all count, and most of them come from his allies, who have to land and time their crowd control for him.
Why it needs saying
The only ultimate in the game that depends on an allied spell to exist. Without a word, the team uses its knock-ups while Yasuo is far away, and he plays the game without his R.

in full english
Knock them up for my ultimate.
the context
"knock up": launch into the air. Without an airborne target, Yasuo has no ultimate at all. Ask in champion select, because it decides the composition: a Yasuo without an allied knock-up is a Yasuo without an R.

Engage with a knock-up, I'll follow.
the context
"i follow" promises the follow-up: the ultimate goes off the moment the target leaves the ground. Yasuo has to be within 1400 units, so the ally engaging has to know he is there, and cast when Yasuo is in position, not before.

what you type
malph ult then yasuo
in full english
Malphite ults, then Yasuo.
the context
The plan fits in four words, with "then" for the order. Malphite is the classic example, any knock-up works: what matters is that whoever carries it knows a Yasuo is waiting behind.

what you type
no knockups or yasuo ults
in full english
No knock-ups, or Yasuo gets his ultimate.
the context
Yasuo's ultimate only exists on an airborne target. A team that holds its knock-ups, or uses them while he is far away, takes his strongest spell away. The call is for everyone who has a knock-up.
