Yuumi

The mechanic

Yuumi attaches to an ally and becomes untargetable, moving wherever they move. The attach breaks the moment her anchor recalls, teleports or dies, so the ally she rides carries her positioning for the whole game.

Why it needs saying

Yuumi has no body of her own. Every decision her anchor makes, backing, teleporting, diving, becomes hers. Without a word, they detach her without even noticing.

When you play them

  1. team chat

    what you type

    dont b im on you

    in full english

Don't recall, I'm attached to you.

    the context

"on you" is all it takes for "attached to you", nobody types "attached". A recall or a teleport detaches Yuumi on the spot, often mid-lane, without her carrier.

  2. team chat

    what you type

    go in i heal you

    in full english

    Go in, I'll heal you.

    the context

Yuumi cannot engage on her own: her anchor decides everything. "go in" is the shortest way to hand them the green light, and "i heal you" tells them why they can afford it.

When an ally plays them

  1. team chat

    what you type

    yuumi come on me

    in full english

    Yuumi, attach to me.

    the context

"come on me" sounds odd outside the game, but it is the phrase. Which ally she rides is a team decision: the one who gets the heals is the one who has to fight.

When an enemy plays them

  1. team chat

    what you type

kill the guy yuumi is on

    in full english

Kill the guy Yuumi is on, she drops off with him.

    the context

"carrier" is the ally Yuumi is attached to. She is untargetable while on him: aiming at Yuumi does nothing, aiming at her carrier drops her, alone and fragile.
